Helen Segil is a ceramic artist working at the intersection of function, sculpture, and play. With a foundation in functional ceramics, her practice has evolved toward creating one-of-a-kind pieces that question how objects are used, understood, and experienced.

Working across clay bodies and techniques, from wheel throwing to hand building to slip casting, her work embraces experimentation in form, balance, and material behavior, often introducing elements of movement, sound, or subtle disruption. By reimagining familiar forms, she invites both interaction and reflection from the user.

Helen’s work is driven by curiosity and a desire to expand how ceramics can be encountered less as fixed objects, and more as evolving, engaging experiences.
